The Washington Gender Alliance is an all-volunteer, community-oriented support and educational organization. We are dedicated to helping people deal with the issues of gender identity and/or expression, be it their own or of someone in their lives.
We are a not-for-profit organization serving communities across the State of Washington.
We currently conduct support groups in three cities in the state:
Our first group began in Bellingham in 1996. Six years later, in 2002, we expanded to Everett. The Shoreline group began in 2013. We invite new communities to join our alliance.
If you are in distress and need to talk with someone immediately, we recommend the Trans Lifeline.
Trans Lifeline is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the well being of transgender people. The hotline is staffed by transgender people for transgender people. Trans Lifeline volunteers are ready to respond to whatever support needs members of our community might have.
